Crime drama's fact file 12/01/09

-The police are always involved someway or another, main focus seems to be on them
-Story line (main) will evolve around some sort of crime
-Backed up by other story line such as love affairs and relationships
-main setting would be in the police station and including cells, interviews and offices, separating each narrative making it clear to the audience
- Colours throughout seem dull and monotone, represent dark-evil-sin-bad-wrong thing
-Police uniform-black clothing, hats and vests with walkie talkies
-equal role of both men and women, male with authority, female with authority, but all in all there seems to be more male roles
-crime usually happen at night-investigate in the day
-setting includes the scene of the crime, which means that the narrative and setting will change every time
-forensics often included for verisimilitude, to emphasize the importance of the crime committed and its extent
- beginning of the bill- white on black writing, this is the same as the uniform and is monotone for simplicity and for the divide between high authority and everyone else
-siren in the background of the theme music, with a blue flashing light in synchronize with the music, representing the sirens on police cars
-binary opposites, hight authority police, forensics, dressed and act differently to ,make it obvious
-the criminals may change also, this is similar with the setting as it can be changed each episode
-main characters will remain throughout and will stay the same,
